Nothing to prove. Nothing to improve. Time to hear yourself again.

You may be capable, needed and loved—and still miss the feeling of being fully inside your own life.

This retreat creates time and space to stop performing competence, soften constant effort and notice what returns when nothing is required from you for a while.

Who it is for

For women who carry responsibility and want more than conventional relaxation.

For women who carry responsibility, spend much of life in their heads and want more than conventional relaxation.

Additional information

The practical part, answered plainly.

Where exactly is it, and how do I get there?

Upstate New York, roughly two hours from the city. The precise location goes out with confirmation, along with train times and a shared-ride option from Manhattan.

What are the rooms like?

A mix of private and shared rooms in one house. You choose a preference when you apply; shared rooms are matched thoughtfully and never more than two.

Is any of it compulsory?

No. Every practice, conversation and meal is optional. Sitting one out is a normal choice and nobody will comment on it.

What about food and dietary needs?

All meals are included and cooked on site. Tell us about dietary needs when you apply and we will plan the menu around them rather than improvising a substitute.

Is this therapy?

No. This is education and experience, not medical care or psychotherapy. If you are in crisis, please contact a clinician — we will say so plainly rather than take a booking.

What is the payment and cancellation arrangement?

A deposit holds your place, with the balance due four weeks before. Full refund of the balance up to four weeks before; the deposit transfers to a future retreat up to two weeks before.
